Going In Style Movie Review and Contest
Disclaimer: Prizing is provided by Warner Bros. Pictures but all thoughts, opinions and memories are strictly my own!
Going in Style (opens April 7th) is a new movie that all generations will enjoy, but especially Boomers. Why do I say that?
Because nobody understands us like our peeps (aka friends). If you’ve got best friends who have had your back for more years than you can remember, you’ll adore Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Alan Arkin. I knew I loved Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine but now I’m in love with Alan Arkin too. His character is adorable.
Desperate to pay the bills and come through for their loved ones, the three risk it all by embarking on a daring attempt to knock off the very bank that took with their money.
These fellows get into more mischief than me and my friends did back in the day, but we did have our moments! Like when Annette and I thought it would be cool to smoke cherry cigars and do donuts in her Volkswagen Beetle. We got so sick we puked and I’ve never been able to stand the smell of cigars since then!
More Cool Actors and Actresses
Also in the movie are Ann-Margret, Joey King, with Matt Dillon and Christopher Lloyd. Personally, I’ve always loved Ann-Margret (Remember her and Elvis in Viva Las Vegas) and her line in the trailer for the movie cracked me up.
Aren’t these guys like the coolest ever? I would LOVE to share a cup of coffee with them! Come on Morgan, give me a call? Pretty please?

Thank you for sharing one of your memories of olde; it gave me a good laugh. I’m sure we all have done something dumb back in the day, but gives us a good laugh later in life.
