Father’s Day 2010

I goofed again. I told my daughter last night that tomorrow was Father’s Day.  Then this morning I looked at a calendar and realized it’s next Sunday. Oh well, that just gives me more time to write about it here at NanaHood. The week before Mother’s Day I asked for your stories about your mom and asked you to send pictures of you with your mom. How about we do the same thing for Dad? Tell me why your dad is special and send me a picture of you with him or with your children and I’ll post it on Nanahood. Remember I told you about my Mother’s Day gift? It was a photo session on the beach. One of the pictures the photographer took was of my husband, Bill, and all the boys (four of them are ours, one is a beloved nephew, one is the best son-in-law-in-the-world, and the other is a young man we love like our own). Anyway, I loved the picture even though they all look grumpy (the photographer told them to be serious). One reason I liked the picture so much is because to me it symbolizes the young men Bill has helped mold. They may not realize it yet, but a lot of the lessons they learn about being a man came from Bill, and he’s done a good job. Thank you honey, for being such a good father!
