End of Summer Fun Photos With Joy-filled Grandchildren

End of Summer Fun

I do not understand how it could be Labor Day weekend so soon. Didn’t we just have Christmas?

All our grands are back in school now and our oldest granddaughter is a senior in high school this year. I could swear I was just changing her diapers yesterday!

We managed to have some end of summer fun with most of our grandchildren but not on the same day. I had one set on Friday and then on Saturday the other set went to the lake with us. We don’t have a boat but one of our sons and his wife do, and they invited us to tag along. By Sunday I was one tired nana!

In addition to all this summer fun we also celebrated August birthdays at our farm one night and yesterday we celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary.

All the grandchildren are growing so fast and I treasure every moment I get to spend with them. We are so blessed that they all live close. And our newest blessing (grandchild number 8) will be here in just a few weeks! How’s that for an exciting end of summer!

So without further adieu…..Here are End of Summer Fun Photos

These two sweeties enjoyed their day at the lake!
They swam from the boat to an island and posed for me! That’s their Aunt Courtney with them. She’s always up for an adventure.
These three visited their uncle’s shop and inspected all their farming equipment. (the pretty gal on the right is not my grandchild but I would gladly adopt her! She is a friend of my granddaughter’s from school.)
He loved the machinery, the bigger the better!
The crop behind my grandson belongs to our twins. Can you tell what they are growing?
Uncle Russell took them for a ride and there were lots of squeals and giggles.
Poppa got the water hose and cooled them off!
And this photo sums up the two days, in fact the whole summer. This is JOY!
