Big Moment In A Little Town

It’s not very often that a school the size of our high school gets to compete at the state level. When our basketball team won Class A Regional last week it was a very BIG deal. Tomorrow our team competes in the opening round of play for the Kentucky State Class A Championship. Today the team got treated to breakfast in the library, a pep rally in the gym, and a police and fire truck escort to the parkway. Tomorrow the town will shut down so that everyone who wants to go can go to the game. These pictures are from this morning.

There was sausage and biscuit too.

I wish I had gotten a picture of the firetruck and police escort but I was too busy hanging out the sunroof of Julie’s car while she blew the horn, flashed her lights and screamed “Go Hornets!”

Good Luck Hornets! We are proud of you and we love you! Can you tell?

My friend Marla sent me some of her photos. Notice the Chief of Police is leading the way. Bet that doesn't happen in big cities!
