A Birthday, A Movie and A Pedicure
I have celebrated all weekend. Friday, my BFF, Annette took me to lunch, then she insisted that I get a pedicure. I have never had a pedicure in my life and did not intend to ever have one. As I have mentioned before….I HATE feet, unless they are baby feet.
The pedicure did feel better than I expected although at times it tickled and I jumped liked I’d been shocked. My ugly feet did look a little less ugly when she was finished. (sorry, no pics of my feet ever!) After that Annette took me to a spa and I had a massage. I have never been so pampered in my life. (Thank you, Nett!)
Then last night a group of my friends and I went to see The Help. I read the book about a year ago and loved it but I was really afraid the movie would be a disappointment; it wasn’t. At the end of the movie the audience burst into spontaneous applause. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced that before.
Tomorrow is NanaHood’s 2nd birthday and so we (Char and I) are hosting a virtual birthday party with games and prizes. It’s my way of saying “Thank you!” to you, dear reader. Be sure and stop by tomorrow and invite your friends!
Happy Birthday NanaHood!
P.S.
These guys got so excited about the party they jumped on top of their vehicles and started dancing! Look out Ellen…they’ve got some cool moves!
I too loved ‘The Help’. It was a really good movie. Pampering is so wonderful….what a great gift. And Happy 2nd Birthday to NanaHood.
