Frugal Fashion Finds – Reflections From the Kitchen Sink

It’s the return of Frugal Fashion Friday!!

This week’s focus piece is this Mackage asymmetric belted trench coat with leather trim on the pockets and sleeves. I love every detail of this coat, but I was thrilled when I tried it on and the sleeves were long enough! Another great feature is how lightweight the coat is. With my fibromyalgia, sometimes coats can simply be too heavy to be comfortable. This coat is just right!

About Mackage

Mackage is most often found at higher end department stores like Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom. The quality is superb, so I wasn’t surprised to find the retail price near $500. You know me though…I found this bad boy for on clearance for $100!

Fashion Pairings

Today, it is partnered with some fun plaid ankle length pants that I actually paid full price for at Cato ($24.99), a Ralph Lauren sweater I snagged about 70% off retail ($34.99) at TJMaxx, and some Nine West flats that were 2/3 off retail at Marti & Liz ($19.99).Retail for these pieces = just over $700. The frugal Melinda price = about $180 … and all but maybe the fun plaid britches will be staples in my closet for years!

Remember to send me some of your favorite shopping places and bargain finds. You may be featured on a Frugal Fashion Friday blog on Nanahood!

Happy Friday!
