Focus on the Good
I spent the day with two of my grandchildren today. They helped take my mind off the horrors of what happened in Paris.
As if the attacks in Paris weren’t bad enough, just down the road from us, in a neighboring community, a little 7 year old girl went missing at a football game. They found her in a creek and the autopsy revealed she had been murdered.
How Do we Focus on the Good?
It’s hard when every news source we see is telling us one more awful thing about the world in which we live. But if we don’t focus on the good then precious moments like the ones I spent with my grandchildren today get buried beneath the dirt and slime we get hit with when we focus on the evil. We have to wash the nasty stuff out of our minds to allow room for smiles, laughter and childish giggles. Those are the things we want to remember at the end of the day and the ones we want to hold fast in our hearts.
All the sweetness in those last two pictures (including the sugar in the donuts) should last you awhile!
This is a blog hop! Would love for you to link up and share some happy pictures! I’ve had my fill of sad ones this week. How about you? Tell me something good!
