Veteran’s Day Salute

Today is Veteran’s Day and I want to give a big NanaHood shout out to all those who have served their country,  including my dad.

John Fulton Bell
1929-1995

When I look at this picture I am reminded of how very young most soldiers are.  Hats off to them for having the courage to stand behind their convictions!

“This nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave.”

My dad’s coat hangs in my office as a constant reminder to me of his service to his country and his love for his family.

Veterans…we salute you!

  1. Your dad was quite handsome in his Air Force uniform. That’s quite the tribute. I don’t have much left of my uniforms. Wish I did. I have my fatigue jacket. I’m not sure what my husband kept of his. One of these days I want to find my dog tags. I know I still have them. It’s wierd to think back 36 years ago when I went in and how I’ve changed and so has the world. Memories indeed. Hugs!

  2. Lovely tribute to your Dad. My husband served in the USMC and he looked like a 13 year old boy in his service photo. God bless them all!
