Pi Day Pie
My least favorite subject in school was math. Around sixth grade I got behind and never managed to catch up. All my life math has been a struggle for me. I’m telling you that because today is Pi Day.
Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th around the world. Pi is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159.
I’m sure that mathmatical geniuses around the world are jumping up and down for joy but as for me, well I’m celebrating Pi Day a little differently. I’m having Marie Callender’s chicken pot pies for supper!
I live in south central Kentucky and it’s still cold and wintery here. As I write this the sun is shining but it’s snowing! It’s only flurries but it makes we want to stay inside, snuggle under my softest blanket and eat a Marie Callender’s chicken pot pie. Â By the way if you haven’t tried all Marie’s different kinds of pot pies you are missing out. There are several variations of chicken and there’s turkey too!
And now I have a present for you (drum roll please) I have a coupon that you can redeem to save you 1.50! Who doesn’t love to save money? To save some dough (sorry, couldn’t resist) on your next pot pie use this digital coupon link:Â http://bit.ly/13VBIuqÂ
You can read more about these delicious pies at Marie Callender’s website at http://www.mariecallendersmeals.com/pot-pies
So how are you celebrating Pi Day?

Hi! I’m visiting from Friendship Friday 🙂 I hope you’ll also join me for my Friday Flash Blog on The Jenny Evolution (www.thejennyevolution.com). Happy weekend!
Thanks for stopping by my blog and for hosting the hop. I’m following you back. Have a great Friday!
Maria Callendars is yummy food. For me, it was a good day at work, best I’ve felt in awhile since I’ve been sick too much. And my last day of work for the week. Downside is tomorrow in the a.m. I have a CT scan for my chest, finding out what’s in there that the xrays can’t decipher. Will know soon. Am praying it’s nothing bad and curable if something is actually found! Sigh! Now I’m going for chocolate ice cream since I just got home a bit ago from Relay for LIfe meeting.
Thank you so much for making me feel like I am not alone!!!!!! And by the way I love cheesecake!
Teresa
I’m not much good with math either. My dad however finds it as easy as, well putting a pie in the oven 🙂 He used to get so frustrated with me growing up. “You get it, I know you do! You are not stupid.” It always ended with mom breaking it up and me in tears. I think I will go and find a piece of cheesecake now. Have a great weekend!
I am a math teacher and celebrate by giving all of my kids a pencil with pie to the 20th decimal point! What fun!
I am visiting from Create With Joy for the first time. I love Marie Calendars pot pies, I have not tired the frozen version but after reading your post, I will be giving them a try! Thanks for hosting your Thursday Thoughts.

I love all kinds of pie. I guess that makes me an equal opportunity pi/pie lover!
You too! Your pictures are so gorgeous…wish I was in SF right now!
Yes, it does. Hungry right now!
Pie does sound tempting.
Thanks for the party Teresa, have a great weekend 🙂
Several school kids bring pies to math class, but they aren’t chicken pot pies.

Hi Teresa! I’m the same as you when it comes to math. I got stuck on something, and was never able to catch up after that. Luckily my older daughter is good at math and even brought a pie into school to celebrate pi day 🙂
Thanks for hosting 🙂
