Holiday Decorations from Near and Far
I’ve shared some of my holiday decorations on Instagram and Facebook but in case you missed them here are a few of my favorites! If you don’t already follow me there, I hope you will! Many of my NanaHood Facebook friends sent pictures of their decorations and I’m going to share a few of them with you too. I hope they get you in the spirit of things!
The first picture is just a small, plain tree, no lights. I haven’t counted how many trees I have in my house. Most of them are not too big but the one in the den is fairly large.
This is a centerpiece my friend brought over for my table. She had it made at a florist last year and is loaning it to me this year. Isn’t it pretty?
This is the tree in our den. It’s wobbly and pretty old but so far it’s still standing. Years ago we had a tree we had to tie to the book case behind it to get to stand up. Over the years we have had our share of Christmas tree disasters. Broken ornaments. Trees that fell over because boys were wrestling. Life happens and nothing is ever perfect….nor should it be. Our tree is full of character because the ornaments come from various trips, some were gifts, and some were handmade by my grandmother.
I can’t believe my grandchildren and my dogs have left my Santas and Snowmen alone, but so far, so good!
The picture below was sent in by Glenda. I love how she decorated this area.
This one makes me want to go there and visit! I love the look of the house! Thanks, Cathi, for sharing!
Finally, this one was sent in by my friend Pam who lives in Georgia. Pam has traveled all over the world and has been a flight attendant for 40 years (Congrats on your awesome career). Don’t you just love her decorating skills?
