Faith Like a Mustard Seed for Grandchildren
Faith
The last day of a year is the perfect time to do some reflection. Are there relationships in your life you would like to repair? Are you stuck in a job that just seems like a dead end street? Have you made mistakes that have proved costly?
Whatever your situation there is hope.
No, I am not a life coach. I’m as imperfect as the next person you meet on the street but I know someone who is perfect and who can help you.
His name is Jesus. You can find Him in a book called the Bible. Get to know Him and what He teaches. He will change your life. He won’t make you perfect but He will show you how to live so that one day you can be with Him in Heaven. He loved you (yes, you!) enough that he died on the cross for your sins!
Normally I write about my grandchildren on NanaHood and in a way this post is still about them. Children have the most pure spirit. There’s a verse in the Bible that says, Matthew Chapter 18, “At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
This Christmas I gave 2 of my older granddaughters mustard seed necklaces. I hope it reminds them of the power of faith. I hope I live my life so they see the power of faith in me.
“….for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Matthew 17:20 King James Version (KJV)
My hope is that long after I am gone all my grandchildren will hold fast to their faith. Faith got me through some very hard times and it can do the same for them.
And it can do the same for you and your grandchildren, too.
Dear Heavenly Father my prayer today is that you bless each of my grandchildren with good health and a growing faith in 2025. Please forgive me my sins and help me to be a good example for my precious grandchildren. Amen
