I Promise You
Yesterday I told you there were things I want to tell my granddaughter, there are also things I want to promise her.
I promise you that….
1. You have my unconditional love, always and forever.
2. I can’t change the world for you but I can change myself. I will work hard to be the best person I can be. I will pray more, love more and volunteer more….because of you.
3. I will tell you about the wonderful people who love you from heaven. I want you to share my happy memories of my parents and grandparents and their loving hearts.
4. I will read to you every day or every time we are together. I want you to know the joy of books!
5. I will sing to you (sorry, Kennedy, my voice isn’t the best) because I want to pass on the songs that my parents sang to me, even “Go Tell Aunt Rhody,” which is really not a “happy” song, but essential as far as I am concerned.
6. We will have glorious adventures! Camp-outs in the den. Pedicures and manicures. Jeep rides on the farm.
7. We will praise God together for His goodness and glory; at church, at home, in Bible School, where ever we go!
8. I will always be with you even after I am gone. How do I know this? Because my parents and grandparents are always with me, whispering words of love, comfort and encouragement.
Nana loves you, baby girl!
Thank you Tracey! Blessings to you and your grandbabies!
I am sitting here with big ol tears rolling down my face. You said just what I want to say to my 5 grandbabies. 3 girls and now this week 2 grandsons. No one but another grannie knows what it feels like to love these little blessings God has given us through our children.
I Love this, and I agree about Go Tell Aunt Rody! Kennedy is beautiful!
