Two Egg Hunts In One Day
Two Egg Hunts
This weekend was a busy one. Our church egg hunt was Saturday morning and then Saturday afternoon the hospital my daughter works for hosted one. There’s nothing better to create excitement in little children than an egg hunt with eggs filled with candy!
Most children will never experience egg coloring the old fashioned way. We always went to my grandmother’s house and colored our eggs. I still remember dipping them in different colors and the smell of the vinegar. I’m sure for the adults it was a hassle and a mess but my brother and I enjoyed it immensely.
They couldn’t wait until they got home to see what was inside the eggs.
These two are cousins and she is a year older but they are about the same size and play really well together.
I think they were plotting how to get more eggs!
The first egg hunt we attended had hundreds of eggs and fewer egg hunters! Each child got a big load!
What’s an egg hunt without goodies? There were cupcakes, Easter cake, and lots more for the children and the adults!
This is my daughter, her son, my son’s daughter and myself. It was a fun day. I just wish ALL the grands had been there but they were off having fun other places!
This is the first year that the granddaughter on the right would get close to the bunny. In the past she has screamed and cried and wanted nothing to do with the rabbit! This year we were walking toward the bunny and she asked me if the bunny was really a person dressed up as a rabbit. I said, “Yes, that’s right.” And that was all it took! She wasn’t afraid! Why hadn’t I thought to tell her that last year????
Do you go with your grands or children to egg hunts? Please share and link up with my blog hop! Have a great Easter!
My kids have colored eggs the old fashioned way. It’s fun! I love the photos you put up. It looks like your grandkids had a blast!
What a fun time. Very cool. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful time.
Oh wow, next door to a Cadbury chocolate factory! Now that could be a problem for me!
It is fun for the children. They look forward to it all year! Thanks for visiting us Cristina!

We don’t have egg hunts in Spain but I’ve always thought they must be fun!
We used not to have egg hunts in England when I was young. You can now buy egg colouring kits in Lidl so I am hoping to try when my grandchildren are older. I used to live near a Cadbury chocolate factory so we used to get plenty of chocolate eggs.
