Friday Randomness

It’s time for another random Friday post.  Every week I feel a bit more “random” and scattered than the week before.  I think it’s because the school year is winding down and spring fever is quickly turning into Summer FEVER (which means I really, really want to be done with schooling).  (I homeschool my 8 year old…I now know what public and private school teachers must feel like come April).

ANYWAY… here is some Friday Random Goodness for you:

  • We did a giveaway for the Ultimate Blog Party over at 5MinutesForMom.com, and realized that we didn’t pick a winner!  SO, the winner of the cards from Hallmark is…. RobynL.
  • Speaking of giveaways, we’re going to try another one! This time, Teresa is giving away a copy of Mozart for a Mother’s Soul (which is gift book with a Mozart CD).  You can read more about the book HERE.  To enter to WIN this, please just leave a comment on this post!
  • I was reading through blog posts at BlogHer this week, and I found this GREAT post about making a simple cardboard box dollhouse. My three year old and I will be making one of these this coming week.  I’m all about simple and fun, and this fits the bill.  Thought you might enjoy checking it out too!
  • Laura, over at HeavenlyHomemakers.com, has a few giveaways going on this week.  You can enter to win a book on going green, a bag of gourmet granola, and even some organic palm oil shortening (for you bakers out there).  If you ARE a baker, and would like healthy recipes for the yummy goodies in your life, Laura has begun a little series about Healthy Celebrations.  Here is the latest post about making whole wheat pie crust.
  • I don’t remember how I landed on this site, but I found a great FREE pattern for making wall totes. I’m not a great seamstress (like my mother), but I think I can make one (or three) of these!
  • I was recently looking for crafty ideas that my kids could tackle for Mother’s Day (for the grandmas), and I found this cute 3×5 recipe card holder How-To.  I’m pretty sure my 8 year old can make one of these.  We’ll find out next week!
