Buckets of Blueberries and Grandchildren

This has been another week of picking buckets of blueberries in the hot, hot Kentucky heat! The humidity is what makes it so miserable. One day I was picking and it was so hot and humid that my clothes were sticking to me all over and I thought to myself, why would anyone pay to go to a sauna when they can come pick blueberries with me and sweat like crazy! This type of berry is called an Elliot and they are very plump and juicy. It’s my favorite variety! Aren’t the berries pretty in the pink buckets?

BLUEBERRIES

When it comes to grandchildren I don’t have a favorite variety. Girl or boy, they are all precious.

KNOX

This is one of my grandsons and he was at the blueberry farm playing with the scales. You can see he is sweating too, but it doesn’t seem to bother him like it does me.

granddaughter

This is one of my granddaughters sitting in church. She looked around at me and I snapped her picture. Isn’t she beautiful?

Hope you all had a great week. This is a blog hop. Be sure and link up and leave me a comment. I love hearing from you.

  8. The kids look pretty healthy and happy despite the crazy heat. I didn’t know there were different types of blueberries, I’m guessing you have plans for them. I’m thinking, bars, pies, and muffins, in that order.
