Best Friends Can Be Cousins Too

Best friends can be cousins too. I know because it happened to me and I think it’s happening again with my granddaughters.

They are such sweet little girls and I just love watching them play together.

Are these two not the cutest cousins ever? Best friends and cousins. Reminds me of two other little girls.

Cousin love

Martha and I, late 1950s.  Martha is on the left, me on the right. She lost her battle to breast cancer in October of 2015. There’s no way to describe how much I miss her. This morning I put on a blouse and she was with me when I bought it. “You’ll get a lot of wear out of that shirt,” she commented. Two years later I’m still wearing it and still hearing her voice. I was so luck to have her in my life. Cousins make good best friends, and it all starts at nana’s house.

So sorry for the loss of your cousin, you are so right about being friends, my favorite was someone I could talk to better than any other person in my life.

Sorry you lost your cousin & best friend. People we know all our lives – who knew us in childhood and as adults, they know who we really are. The deepest bond. My best friend is my older sister. Don’t even want to think of life without her.
