Gratitude on Tuesdays
Gratituesday
Every Tuesday at NanaHood will be Gratituesday; my post on that day will be about something I’m grateful for and since this is a site about grandparenting it seems fitting that my first post be about my only grandchild, Abby.
I was there when she entered the world and I can truthfully say that from the moment she was born, I loved her. And so have a lot of other folks. The hospital hall was lined with relatives anxiously awaiting her arrival. I’ve often thought that if every baby in the world could be loved half as much as Abby the world would be a wonderful place.
Abby is such a blessing for so many reasons. Grandchildren are a reminder of the possibilities of life. I look at the world through her eyes and suddenly everything sparkles again. I watch her with her father (my oldest son) and my cup is so full it runs over. Seeing him experience the love of a child is a blessing that defies description.
And so today (and every day) I give thanks for my granddaughter. She is the apple of this nana’s eye and she holds the key to my heart!
