It's Finally Fall Y'all -

You can feel it. It moves through you, makes you draw in a deep, lung filling breath. It is fall. It is autumn filling the air. It is my favorite time of year. And I am sure I am not alone in this feeling! After the heat of summer, the cooler days of fall are truly a breath of fresh air. Tomorrow, Sept. 22, marks the first day of Fall!

A time to open the windows and let in the breeze. A time to sit on the porch and enjoy the beauty of God’s canvas before you. A moment to reflect on all His wonder. A time to be reminded that we are on His time.

During this time of year people begin to slow down a little. The bustle of summer is gone and the laid back pace of autumn takes over people’s lives. They look forward to hay rides and bonfires, to carving pumpkins and roasting marshmallows. During this season is when I am reminded that everything happens for a reason, even if I don’t know what the reason is.

There are moments in our lives that are hard to accept. Events that make us sad, make us question. But just as we realize that fall and winter only lead us back to a beautiful spring, we must realize that God is in control of everything.

“Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples!
Shout to God with the voice of triumph!
For the Lord Most High is awesome;
He is a great King over all the earth.”Psalm 47:1-2

He is Awesome! And He Loves Us! As you watch each leaf float from a tree, remember He is good! As you see the joy in a child’s face as they jump through a pile of leaves, remember He is gracious. As you breath in that fresh, cool autumn air, remember to praise the one who controls the seasons.
