Rain, rain….Come here!
I’m not sure what I’m going to do this weekend but I can tell you what I am NOT going to do…mow the yard. There’s no point.
We live in southern Kentucky and there have been years when it has been hot and dry (usually August) but I don’t remember it ever being this dry this early.
There are thousands of acres of corn shriveling up in this heat. There are people without air conditioning who are suffering.
My sister-in-law bought me a new pair of rain boots she found at a garage sale. I’m going to go put them on and do a rain dance on my dried up lawn. Anyone care to join me?
We did get some rain and it was delicious…still need more, but thankful we had some!
Here’s hoping you get some rain so you can use your new boots. I had my boots on this morning but it was to feed the chickens and goats.
