Will You Be With Your Grandchildren This Thanksgiving?

I am so blessed that I live near my grandchildren and I get to see them frequently. I know there are many grandparents who don’t.

I wanted to tell you about a photo contest that just launched on Grandparents.com, aimed at bringing grandparents together with their grandkids for Thanksgiving (winner announced on Grandparents Day, Sept. 9): http://www.grandparents.com/gp/photo-contests/index.html

The photo contest is a joint collaboration between Franklin Electronic Publishers (makers of the popular educational toy, the AnyBook Reader) and Grandparents.com. They are asking for grandparents to send in photos of themselves with their grandkids, describing why they have the best grandkids and how they want to be with them for Thanksgiving. The winner of the contest will receive 2 tickets (economy class, airfare) to spend Thanksgiving with their family, as well as two AnyBook Readers and $100 spending money for their trip!

Good luck to all my NanaHood readers who enter!

I think my cousin should enter her family photo, don’t you?

That is a great picture and I hope your cousin wins if she enters.

We too are blessed to live close to our grandchildren and to see them all on a regular basis, and we have had the two wittle wees ones here all week which is why I get nothing done. They get all of my attention as needed and being toddlers they need to be watched nonstop. Truly the best moments in life are spent with our grandchildren and experiencing the unconditional love they give you and the non-responsibility love that grandparents are privileged to experience. Oh how I love those wittle wee ones.

Thanks for sharing the info about this contest with us here at Theme Thursday, it is greatly appreciated.

    God bless.

My wife and I parents live 18 hours away so we typically do not see them at either Canadian or USA Thanksgiving, though one set of the other comes south for Christmas.
