What makes a grandchild grand?

What makes a grandchild grand? A lot of things. At the top of my list is the things they say and of course their hugs.  Here’s a couple of examples.

Abby to Nana while riding in the car: “Nana, did you know if you scream loud enough you can break windows?”

Nana to Abby: “Really?”

Abby: Screams at the top of her lungs.

Nana: “Abby, if you don’t stop screaming Nana is gona stop the car and get out and run away!”

Abby: “But Nana, the windows didn’t break yet!”

Earlier this week….

I had a horrible stomach virus and wouldn’t let Abby near me for two days.  This morning I decided I was probably no longer contagious.

Abby: Nana, can I come in your room today?

Nana: Yes, you can come in.

Abby: Can I touch you?

Nana: Yes, you can touch me.

Abby: Can I hug you?

Nana: Yes, you can hug me.

Abby hugs me and says, “I’m so happy you are better, Nana. I missed your hugs!”

Aren’t GRANDchildren GRAND?
