What Do Nanas Do When Their Grandchildren Go Home?

The GRANDdaughter was at my house this weekend. Oh, what fun we had! Saturday night we watched the Disney Channel and she gave me a manicure and pedicure!

You probably can’t tell but every toe and finger were painted a different sparkling color, layers and layers of glitter! Which was cool until I had to go to church and my daughter’s baby shower the next day and I couldn’t get it off! That stuff was like cement!

So I  sparkled at church and the shower.

Abby looked at me yesterday and said, “Nana, what do you do when I’m not here?”

I thought for a minute. “That’s easy, I miss you, of course!”

And I do.

  1. I count my blessings that I have the four (almost five) little beings in my life. They make me laugh, cry and remmeber the wonderful fun I used to have with their parents. I am also blessed that their parents have taught them to pick up all the toys before they go! My three year old Regan said last night before she left, “Grannie, I love you a whole lot much”. Could life be any better?

  2. I tidy up the little hurricane that’s left behind, well some of it cuz most times the scattered part gets put close to where it belongs. Then remember the fun we had and relish the quiet but remember the hugs and bright smiles!
