Type-A-Parent Conference

This past weekend I went to my first conference for bloggers. It was the Type-A-Parent Blogger Conference in Atlanta and I had a blast! I learned so much I thought my head might explode! It definitely won’t be my last conference. I can’t wait to go to another one.

Today I’m going to share pictures from the conference with you and encourage you (again) to do something you have wanted to do for a long time, but haven’t yet. I don’t know why I waited so long to go to one because it was so worth it!

Here are some of my new blogger friends with some Disney swag from a party we attended. See, I told you it was fun and everyone loves free stuff!

We went to dinner at FOGO DE CHAO and what an experience that was. The next picture is the Awesome Anne Parris from Midlife Boulevard. Her expression when she saw all the meat on giant skewers in the windows of the restaurant was priceless. In addition to a huge salad bar, they serve over 16 different kinds of meat! Good thing there were no vegetarians in the group.

These lovely fairies were at the Disney party. I took this shot while they weren’t looking and loved their wings!

And what is an event without selfies? This is Jenn Reeves from AARP and myself.  I obviously did not do a good job with the picture. I’m blurry but I thought Jenn looked great so I decided to share it anyway. Jenn and I have talked online for months but had never met so it was great to actually get to see her in person! She’s even more inspiring than I had imagined!

And on the way home from the conference I met up with another friend I had never met in person. Her name is Joan and her grandchildren call her Gramcracker. How’s that for an unusual (and exceptionally sweet) name for a grandparent! And I can testify that she is very, very sweet.

I came home from Atlanta tired but happy. I hope you had a great weekend, too!

This is a blog hop. Please link up and tell me about any writing or blogging conferences you have been to lately?
