  12. I didn’t know how special grandmothers were until I became a Grammy to a special little boy named Will. Every day is special with him, especially when you just spent the last birthday in Ky with him and the rest of your family. What a great day!!

  19. My birthday is Sept.3 and I will be 62 years old. I have 3 grandsons and 1 great grandson. Love them with all my heart. Also have 2 sons. They all are taking me to the beach for my bday, Sept 1-4 to celebrate and enjoy each other for the best birthday ever. Excited, Also wishing you a very Happy Birthday to.

  20. My last Birthday, 63rd. My son flew my grandkids out to surprise me and my other grandchildren. First time all grand children were together in one place. Best Birthday ever. I love being a Nana.

  30. My 50th.. my daughters managed to get all my brothers and sister together for a surprise dinner!!

  32. My favourite birthday just happened. On July 30 all three of my grand children were at a party for the two youngest. Only the 1 year old can’t say Nana yet but it will come. Being a Nana and there is an Aunty Lana is fun as my 3 yr old Alexis sometimes says the wrong name, Nana is my family name for grandmothers. My Mom was a Nana, her Mom a Nana etc and even my sister aren’t we so blessed to share our grand children’s lives and birthdays and just days! Nana

  36. My 50th birthday was the best ever! My entire family with the one grandson took me to Disney World!

  39. My favorite birthday was my 50th. My mother called to sing to me, as she has all the years of my life. My husband later surprised me with a birthday party, featuring many friends, both near and far away. I treasure the picture of me and my friends from that day, as I had never had all my friends (many of whom did not know each other) gathered around me, all in one place. My birthday cake was also special – it featured the image of a Canon camera – a nod to my favorite hobby. I wasn’t a Nana yet, as I am now, so my blessings have now been multiplied by 3! All future celebrations with those 3 sweet little faces are bound to be a joy, too!

  40. Happy birthday, Nanahood. Being Nana is awesome. My favorite childhood memory of my birthday was my grandfather coming for my birthday when I was 10. Being Nana and having my two sweet grandchildren give me lots of hugs and kisses always makes birthdays special!

  41. My favorite birthday memory is my 50th birthday. My husband and I were in Hawaii (the trip was a gift for my birthday from my husband and children) on the island of a Oahu. We decided to go to the North Shore. We had heard about a place along the road where sea turtles would come up and some themselves on the sand. Sure enough we got there and there were four sea turtles feeding at the edge of the beach. I was in a sundress and flip flops and went running down to take a picture. When my flip flops hit that wet volcanic rock I went sliding right into the water. There was like a 6 foot drop off at the edge of the rock into the water and the waves just pulled me out and then would push me back in against the rock. I wouldn’t let go of my purse because the rental cart keys were in it along with my driver’s license and credit cards and we were going home the next day. My purse filled with water and weighed a ton in between that and the waves I could not get myself out on my own. Anyway to make a long story shorter the people on the beach had to form a human chain of 8 people to rescue me. I can laugh about it now but at the time I was so mortified.

  43. I enjoy celebrating the birthdays of family and friends. Some have had a great year, some maybe not so good but a birthday seems to renew everyone. Happy Birthday ?!

  44. Happy birthday, Nanahood!! Just celebrated my 66th birthday on July 31 and had an awesome evening of dinner and sitting on the deck with my family! Five of the grands were there so it was so perfect! It was a beautiful Minnesota evening, kids and adults enjoying each other and treasuring our time together!!

  46. I have 10 grandchildren. They call me on my birthday and sing to me. It fills my heart with happiness as I would prefer for them to call and sing or make a hand made card than anything they could try to buy me. I just love being a Nana 🙂

  47. My favorite birthday was my 40th because I finally got a Dallas Cowboys cake after 44 years (lifelong fan), it was all Cowboys themed and my 2 grandsons were decked out in their Cowboys jerseys and to top it off, the game was on and my Boys won!!!! Awesome birthday!!!!

  51. This year I received a video message of my 2 year old grandson wishing his Nana a happy birthday. That was pretty awesome!

  73. My 64th when all my children, grandchildren and my sweet husband who died 2 months later. All together!

  74. The best birthday was when Callista was finally able to say happy Birthday to me. And technically she was a late birthday present since she was born 4 days after my Bday!

  88. Each birthday is my favorite because it means I got to enjoy my grandsons another year.
