Thursday Thoughts

This week the Adult Education Center in the small county where I live will have a graduation ceremony for 31 students who are receiving their GED’s. I am so excited and proud for all of them! I know many of them (I worked there for awhile and still volunteer there) and I know how hard they worked to achieve their goal.

Years ago I worked at a high school in a neighboring county and I taught an English class for At Risk students. One of those students, Jeremy, became more than a student. He is a friend to my children and I love him dearly.  Jeremy was a good student but he didn’t graduate.  This Saturday night he will receive his GED. Congratulations Jeremy! I am so proud of you!

Good luck and may God bless each of the graduates on the rest of their journey!
