Saturday Night Fun with my GRANDdaughter

Last year our community started something that I hope they will continue; trick or treating on the square. It’s one stop shopping for little people and much easier than driving from house to house. Nick and I took Abby (aka Tinkerbell) to town, parked and walked around the square. There were lots of folks set up in front of stores passing out candy. Most of them were merchants but some were volunteer firefighters and other organizations.

Before we left though my job was to paint Tinkerbell’s face.

She's pleased with her costume. Can you tell?

I think I did okay considering she wiggled the whole time I was putting her makeup on.

While we were up town we ran into Little Bo Beep.

We also saw these two little cuties. I told them to smile and say Happy Halloween. Look closely at the little one.

These are little cave kids ( I think). Cute!

The last stop of the day was at our neighbors house. Abby went last year and Cindy (my neighbor) was dressed as a witch. She has the best witches laugh I’ve ever heard. Abby thinks so too. Abby said she wouldn’t be scared but she still made me get out of the car and stand very close!

Notice that Abby's wings are upside down. My wings were drooping by then too!

Finally we came home and Abby couldn’t wait to get into her candy bag.

She even shared her candy with Uncle Grant.

Murphy (the cocker spaniel) wanted some too but he got a doggie biscuit instead.

Hope you had a great weekend too. We sure did!

Adorable costumes! My favorite this year was a big kid–probably a teenager–who had a banana costume!

Sounds like sooo much fun! What a great idea! I understand about the tired part, takes more energy than it once did!

She is adorable. We do trunk or treat in this area at the church’s and they had trick or treat for the first time downtown where we live. Everyone enjoyed it and it was much safer. The boys finished up at the neighbors and then it was roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over a fire at home. Boy, Pop and Nana was surely tired after all that. lol
