Paradise Point Revisited

Paradise Point Revisited

I liked the outside of Paradise Point so much that I went back to investigate the store and this time it was open. The inside of the store was even more fun than outside. If you didn’t see my last post about it then check it out before you go further. Even their parking lot is cool.

Around every turn there was something new and interesting to look at. I’m not sure when you would use this mask, unless it was Halloween. Of course their are several pranksters around here who would love to put one on and scare me to death!

I can just see me taking this to the pool. Think I would get some stares?

Paradise Point Revisited

This is the most unusual light fixture I have ever seen. I don’t know where I would put it but it would certainly be a conversation starter!

Paradise Point Revisited

These are the owners of Paradise Point. Many years ago we attended college at the same time. Sabrina was a sorority sister of some of my friends and her husband, John, was in a fraternity. My friend, Mosier (as she was known back then) was a Little Sister to John’s fraternity, so I sort of knew them both.

I didn’t realize it but John was actually at the store cooking hot dogs. My friend Peggy was with me and we bought a hotdog. Before we left I had my picture made with John. Notice the Antiques sign to the right of my head… it looks like it was put there for John and I to have our picture made under!

My friend and I gave the store and the hot dogs a 5 Star Rating. If you are near Barren River State Park be sure and go visit them. They serve breakfast on the weekends and there are other goodies inside the store to eat.

While you are there buy that green mask and scare the daylights out of someone you love!

  6. I love fun places like this! The owners certainly have a sense of humor. It reminds me of a place called “Spencer’s Gifts” that was in the mall near me when I was growing up–it had the best gag gifts.

I’ve been to quite a few strange places in my life and it is hard to pick just one but an underground cemetery in Manhattan had to be one of the strangest!
