Listen to “Little Lullaby” with your Grandchildren

If you haven’t heard of Rory and her music for children, you don’t know what you have been missing. Truthfully, before I listened to Rory’s music I thought children’s music was irritating. Why? Because the tapes (no CDs back then) my children had either had high pitched little kid voices singing, or something that was supposed to sound like a chipmunk. I could listen to them for 5 minutes-10 tops and then I was ready to pull my hair out. That’s NOT what happened when I listened to Little Lullaby with my grandchildren.

Little Lullaby is a collection of real songs sang by a real person who is obviously very talented.

In addition to her award winning CD’s, Rory’s work has included television, music videos and books for the very young. As host of The Learning Channel’s, “Rory’s Place”, she brought her engaging style into millions of homes each weekday morning. Rory puts a fun spin on kids’ music that doesn’t annoy parents and never, ever talks down to little ones.

She has a new CD out called “Little Lullaby”and she was nice enough to send me a copy for me to review. I decided to share it with my professional assistants, my 3 year old granddaughter and my 1 year old grandson. First I let them inspect the CD. The 1 year old was eating lunch and a noodle stuck to the cover (and he had one in his hair).

I took the CD from him and wiped the noodle off the cover and plucked the one out of his hair.

I played one of the songs from the album for them. The name of the song is Family and the 3 year old loved dancing to it.

Soon it was nap time and I took the CD and the one year old into my room. He loved having the music playing softly and before you know it he looked like this….

The CD is now available for purchase here and on Amazon and iTunes. If you want to hear more of the lullabies visit Rory at her website.  Just make sure you have your blanket and pillow handy because you may get sleepy!

You can also find Rory here on Facebook and on Twitter.

  1. I love it. Our two youngest grands are both six years old already, but I still think I would love to have this CD. Also would be an awesome baby gift for new parents! Thanks for sharing!
