It’s the Gratituesday before Thanksgiving and all through the house

All the teenagers  (and poppa) are dreaming of a big turkey dinner, even the mouse.

While nana was making yet another grocery list for items needed to cook turkey and dressing

A Graituesday thought occured to her, “Why not make a mental list of all of our blessings?”

So I tossed aside my grocery list and stopped worrying about where I needed to be

And instead thought of  all the things God has done for me.

Quickly I listed, “Health, food, clothes and shelter,” and that was just to begin

Next I wrote “neighbors, church family, kin-folk and friends.”

Then there are the spiritual blessings

That come from above

Faith, hope and of course, the greatest is love!

God is so good  in so many ways

That it doesn’t make sense just to praise Him on Thanksgiving Day

And so I will sing His praises where ever I go

Praise Him, praise Him, From whom all blessings flow!

May the good Lord bless and keep you wherever you are!

(I think I’m stuck in a rhyming mode!)
