Hair Jewelry Adds Beauty to Your Style

Hair Jewelry

This is a review of Lilla Rose hair jewelry. I was not paid for this review but I did receive a hair clip and I am giving one away to one lucky reader! The thoughts and opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Remember the song, Hair? In case you aren’t familiar with it, it has some amazing lyrics (tongue in cheek). Here’s my favorite verse (the rest are just as catchy).

Let it fly in the breeze and get caught in the trees
Give a home to the fleas, in my hair
A home for fleas, a hive for the buzzing bees
A nest for birds, there ain’t no words
For the beauty, splendor, the wonder of my hair.

Enough of that…

Last year about this time I decided to grow my hair long enough to donate to one of the many organizations that takes hair and makes it into wigs for cancer patients. You can read about my decision here.

One of the first things I did after I made my decision to grow and donate my hair was talk to my hair stylist. Jeff encouraged me and and every 5 weeks or so when I go to get it colored (yes, you can donate color treated hair) he assures me that my hair is growing. It. Doesn’t. Feel. Like. It. Is.

Jeff is the only person to whom I allow myself to whine about my hair. You see, I figure if cancer patients can lose their hair, the least I can do is grow mine to give them.  But it takes much longer than I originally thought and while long hair looks pretty on my daughter and my son’s girlfriends, long hair on me looks like….long hair on a grandma. Jeff says that at the rate it’s growing I probably have 8 more months.

Anyway, a few weeks ago I received a request to review a Lilla Rose hair clip and I thought, why not? It will keep my hair out of my face and it looked nice in the picture.  When I got it in the mail I opened it up and found that it was even prettier than pictured.

Besides the fact that it looks great I loved the easy way I could slide it on my hair, fasten it, and not have to worry about it falling out.

HOOU 3

Over the last few weeks I’ve worn my hair clip several times and always get compliments but as a nana I’m thinking these clips would make great gifts for my granddaughters. They come in all sizes and are so perfect for little girls.

Look how cute they look in little girl’s hair!

Because this is October and I’m blogging pink (and other colors) I asked Melody (the lady who sells these) if she had pink products and she does.

Melody also sent me some Lilla Rose products especially made to celebrate the fall season. Aren’t they lovely?

  1. I like mine medium length. This is long hair stuff is a challenge! Thanks for commenting Becky!

  2. I have shoulder length hair and I’m a grandma. I don’t want real short hair. This is manageable. I have hair clips I found at a store awhile back, and I wear my hair pulled up at work sometimes. Sometimes I pull it back as well. Nice hair clips! Thanks for the give away!
