Friends Who Pick Blueberries
My friend Susan is a food blogger and her husband is a musician. They visited last year and picked blueberries with me and this year when they came they brought their dog, Gus.
Gus is a beautiful German Shepherd and when my husband was a little boy they raised German Shepherds. He has always loved them and when he saw my friend’s dog online….he fell in love. The day Gus came to visit, Bill took the day off and worked on the farm. Secretly, I think he wanted to spend time with Gus.
I took them for a golf cart ride and showed them around the farm. It was hard to tell who enjoyed the ride more, Susan, her husband Lindsey, me or Gus.
We did a little talking while we sat on the porch in the swing. It was so good to visit with her and  so nice to have friends who pick blueberries with you.
Susan took her blueberries home and used them in a sauce for her cheesecake. Oh how I wish I could have had a slice but they live too far away. Here’s the link to her website and the recipe. I seriously am drooling just looking at this!

It is so nice to pick berries with someone else by your side. Lately I’ve been picking mulberries during my lunch time. They grow wild by work. No one picks them, but me.

Yum. What a sweet looking pooch, even though I grew fearing German Shepherds he looks like a sweetie. Nothing like sitting on the porch swing. Nice pics.
