Stillness

As the mom of 5 children I remember those days when they were young and the house was always noisy. I loved the sound of their feet running up and down the hall, the squeal of their laughter and the general commotion of having a house full of children. But I also loved the stillness, the peace and quiet of night time.

There’s nothing sweeter than watching a sleeping child.

Silence and stillness are often underrated. We stay in a fizz. Run here, go there, do this, do that.

Sometimes it’s just nice to be still and listen to the quiet. When we do we can hear God speak to us and its easier to meditate and pray.
