Congrats to the New Nana

From the little guy’s Mama:
Little Maddox Andrew (Andrew after his daddy) was born on November 19th at 11:11. I am convinced the time he was born is very lucky! He was a big boy weighing 8 14 and 19 inches long..short and chubby!!! Maddox’s grandmothers are Sandy “Granzy” Roberts and Kathy “Grandma” Ulmer.
Big sister Amelia Rose is very excited! The C-section was scheduled on a Thursday and I told her she wasnt going to preschool that day because she was going to meet her baby brother and she replied, “I’d rather go to school and see Ms. Lisa”….so off to school she went!! But at home, Amelia is in love with him, just like the rest of us. She sings to him, reads to him, kisses him way too hard and more often than not, wakes him from his nap. But we are blessed…and even in between tears from the crazy hormones, I just smile at my life and how lucky we are to have 2 beautiful, healthy children. God is good!
New Nana (or Gigi, as she likes to be called)
Posted by: | CommentsTake a look at this little cutie, pictured with his Gigi… his name is Jacob, and he’s a DOLL!

Congrats to the new nana – Tricia! Here’s what she has to say about nana-hood:
Jacob Thomas Mckew was born May 31, 2009. His mom, my daughter, Laura Beth Hanson McKew, was a KD at WKU too!!! The dad is Patrick McKew who was a Phi Delt at WKU. They started dating the day after Laura Beth started at WKU and dated the entire time they were at Western and married in March 2006. They currently live in Lexington. Jacob has red hair and bright blue eyes. He always has a big smile for me when he sees me, which always makes my day a thousand times brighter. I had hoped to have an empty nest by the time my grandchildren came along, but I still have a 16-year-old at home, Sarah Jane, so it limits the time I have with Jacob. I know the time I have left with Sarah Jane will pass all too soon, so I don’t want to waste one minute of it. However, I do love any opportunity I can get to babysit my precious grandson!
