Always In My Heart

Yesterday I wrote a post about our dog, Murphy. He was almost 14 years old and I knew our time together was limited but his death this weekend was sudden and unexpected. I’m dedicating this post to him today and hoping that each of you will know the love of a pet at least once in your life time. He wasn’t a perfect dog, but he was perfect for us. Murphy, you touched my heart and I will always remember you!

This is a blog hop and instead of leaving comments, leave the name of one of your pets that you will never forget and a memory you have of them.

  2. So sorry for your loss! It is so difficult to lose a special friend. We lost our kitty, Remy, last year after his being a part of our family for sixteen years. He was bossy and assertive, which made him quite a character. We loved him dearly, and miss him. They sure have a way of claiming a piece of our hearts. Blessings.

  4. So sorry about your loss. I always tell myself that it is natures way of reminding me to save another pup- can’t imagine why my home is full of them…. 🙂

  5. Thanks for commenting Stephanie. I appreciate it and appreciate you understanding.

  6. I’m so sorry. I’ve lost many wonderful pets. The most recent was our pet rat, Alice, who was the cutest, sweetest little thing. She had to be put down at only a year old due to developing a very large cyst very quickly, and I cried and cried. I was heartbroken.

Our two dogs, Vern & Vinny, are as you say, not perfect, but perfect for us. I will die a little bit when I inevitably lose them.

  7. China the cat, yowled like a grandma who smoked one pack too many cigarettes. Loved turkey and sat herself down at the Thanksgiving table whether or not invited.

Oh Teresa, how I feel for you today. No loss is ever easy, but somehow the departure of a family pet so loved digs just that little deeper. Hugs from afar… YAM xx

  14. So sorry. Felt the same about our “Chelsey” and “Cody”. Golden labs that were part of our family for 18 years.
