Thinking Pink

It’s about that time of year again; time to think pink. Truthfully, I THINK about breast cancer all year long but I blog about it mostly in October (which is going to be here in just a few short weeks).

Why do I think about it? I think about it because my cousin Martha continues to fight, survive and thrive!  She is a 3 time breast cancer survivor and I love her to the moon and back!

Martha and two of her grandchildren. Love ya, cuz!

Why do I blog about it in October? Because it’s breast cancer awareness month and I want to be an advocate for early detection. I also want to help raise funds to help fund research.

So even though it’s not October yet I am starting to think pink.

And I am not the only one.

Yesterday I received a comment from a lady who is going to drive across America to raise awareness. You can read about her here

Another friend has started her fund raising online for the Susan G. Komen Race for a Cure (this one is in Louisville, KY)

This is Kim (who will be very surprised to see herself on NanaHood) Hugs, Kim!

All across America organizations are practicing their Pink Glove Dance to raise awareness.

This one is my favorite from last year.

Is there someone in your life fighting breast cancer? If so, message me and let’s talk about how you can get on the NanaHood team for raising awareness and funds for research!
