Monday, Monday-Can’t Trust that Day

Remember the song by the “Mamas and the Papas” called Monday, Monday? If you aren’t of a certain age (ahem, over 50) you probably won’t.

It says in part….

Every other day, every other day,
Every other day of the week is fine, yeah
But whenever Monday comes, but whenever Monday comes
You can find me cryin’ all of the time.

I thought of these lyrics after the horrible devastation of last week’s storms. Remember yesterday’s post about the little girl found in the field ten miles from her home? Her name hadn’t been released at the time I wrote about her.

The twister picked up the entire family and dropped them about 100 yards away from their home. Only the little girl– who was 14 months old — had survived.

She had suffered severe head trauma and yesterday she died.

Her name was Angel.

Angel’s death Sunday raises the number of those killed due to the recent severe weather to 13 in Indiana, and at least 39 people across the country.

Please keep all the families affected by the storms in your prayers and if you can afford to help, please consider donating to the American Red Cross.
