Elmo and My GRANDdaughter

My GRANDdaughter loves to make things and her Aunt Rachel loves to help her. Last weekend they made Elmo cupcakes. The  only thing is, they had to put red food coloring into the white icing and it thinned it too much. This made the cupcakes pink instead of red, so they called them Elma instead of Elmo.

Cute, aren’t they?

We went out to dinner and when we came back they weren’t quiet as cute. All the eye balls had slid off! I would have made you a picture but we decided to eat them instead!

Try using food coloring pastes – you’ll never go back to liquids or gels. The colors are much more intense, and no thinning icing.

What a fun time for grandmother and granddaughter! 🙂 Your end results remind me of some of the fun activities my grandkids and I had when baking with sugar cookies. They may not be perfect but they all make for such great family memories for all of us grandparents, don’t they? Thanks for a lovely visit.
