HAPPY THOUGHTS

Howdy NanaHood Friends and Family! It’s Friday and I’m oh so glad!  Thought I would share some “happy thoughts” with you today….

 

HAPPY THOUGHTS

1. My cyber-friend made NanaHood her featured blog in her blog hop! What a nice surprise! Please visit Belly Charms by clicking here or on the blog frog bellow this post!

2. I got the sweetest email from one of my friends. She read what I said about my NanaHood Friends and Family Team not reaching my goal and she wanted to encourage me so she reminded me that whether we reach the goal or not, we are helping get the word out about breast cancer and reminding our girlfriends to get mammograms. Then she told me that one of our other friends had confessed to her that she hadn’t had one and couldn’t remember the last time she had. Guess who got a phone call this morning from me and who will get one next week and the next until she does get one!

What a great reminder of perspective and focusing on what we can do, not what we can’t!

4. Husband comes home from business trip today and we have missed him so much!

5. I work at an adult education center and we help people get their GEDs. We had two young ladies pass their tests this week. To see the glow of accomplishment on their young faces makes being an educator a wonderful profession!

6. Sunday is our 5th Sunday service, which is always fun because we bring food and eat together after worship. Our beloved elder who died last week will be greatly missed, but hopefully being together more will help us all begin the healing process.

7. The blessings just keep coming! Yesterday I was afraid my team wouldn’t make their goal but when I got the mail yesterday I had several donations and then some people from other states made donations online.  Woo hoo! We are getting closer to the $2,000 we hoped to raise! If you don’t know my story or why I hate breast cancer you can click here to read about it and if you are so inclined, please donate!
