Cupcake Contest at NanaHood

Today’s post is all because my daughter and granddaughter made cupcakes this week. They were red velvet with whipped buttercream icing and they were so yummy I ate three at once….yep, not good for the mid-section and the reason I need to learn to hula hoop. https://nanahood.com/hula-hoop-queen

Anyway, Abby, the GRANDdaughter, absolutely loves to make cupcakes and we love to do whatever she loves to do.

Yesterday I was flipping through a Family Fun magazine I saw some of the cutest cupcakes ever and when I got home I looked them up on the Internet.

Now that I had cupcakes on my mind I did some exploring and I couldn’t believe what I found. There are some very creative folks out there! I’m going to show you some of my favorites.

I could go on and on because if you can dream it…you can make it into a cupcake! But I’m going to close with my personal favorite.  Remember, I am from Kentucky where basketball is more than a sport; t’s a way of life. March Madness is right around the corner and my twins are about to compete (this coming week…Go Hornets!) in their District Tournament. Add all that together and I think you will understand why I made the following cupcake my number one choice.

I make Valentine cupcakes for the guys at justin’s house and they were a hit. I was so proud. They weren’t your ordinary cupcakes either. They were giant cupcakes! About the size of two fists put together. I would have brought you one but they didn’t last very long in a house with 6 boys. 🙂
