Salute to Moms from NanaHood

mothersday

The first part of the week I told you about my mom and the second half of the week I’m saluting your mom!  Send me a picture  and a wish, or remembrance and I’ll share it with my readers. Be sure and leave a comment and you might win a copy of Mozart for A Mother’s Soul. Happy Mother’s Day Moms!

From Christine-I want to wish my mother-in-law, Harriet Micocci, a very Happy Mother’s Day. While she is not able to comprehend or respond to us anymore due to late stage Alzheimer’s I know on some level she is still there; everyday we hug her and tell her that we love her.  Christine Crosby, GRAND Magazine

From Brenda Nixon-This picture is my mom & my daughter. I give tribute to my mom because she’s a “great” grandma to my kids; praying for each, giving of her time and resources, supporting, and always loving my kids. My mom is a role model of a loving grandmother.

To Grandmother from Brittany…
Words could never express how grateful and blessed I feel to have such a wonderful Christian example in my life. You have such a servant spirit and have always put all others before you. You have been a rock in our family and in a seemingly easy way, you hold our family together. You have done so much for me and it has never been taken for granted or forgotten. My favorite memories with you are simply sitting at the kitchen counter (while you work- because you can’t sit still) and just chatting about anything and everything. I pray that God teaches me to be as humble and giving as you are. I love you so much!  Brittany

To Mom from Brittany…. I can not believe how fast life has flown! I want to thank you for always being a safe place for me to come when I am upset or frustrated. You always know when to listen and when talk and say exactly what I need. You have been through so much in your life and I am so proud of the decisions you have made. You have always done what is best for “your girls.” With each day that passes, I find myself becoming more and more like you…and I am proud of that! I love you so much and appreciate your support through all the years. As I begin my new family in the next month I pray that God helps me portray a loving wife as you have taught me to be through your actions and in the future, a loving mother as you have been to me!

From Brittany to her sisters…
I love you both so very much and I am also so thankful for the two of you and the mothers you have become. Mandy, you have a strength that is rare, although sometimes you don’t believe it, I believe you can do ANYTHING in life! You are so caring and you love Madilyn and Austin to pieces! They are going to grow up to be such strong individuals because of your example. Kiera, I am so excited that Tyler and your new baby Tucker have you for their mother. They are so blessed to have such a fun and energetic mother. I think God knew little boys would be your specialty. 😉 I am sure that as they grow older they will never miss a beat because their momma never did.
You both love your kids so very much. I am so thankful for this because these three little boys and little girl are the most important children in my life. I care so much for them and want them to be successful in all they strive to achieve. I know with mothers like you two, they will be able to reach for the stars!

From Lanelle–My Mother, she taught me to be a mother by her example, a daughter by the way she treated her mother, a wife by the life she lived with my Daddy, a sister by loving her siblings,a christian  by the life she leads and by putting God first, others next and herself last. God blessed me greatly by giving me the parents he gave me. I can only hope to be like her some day. Barbara Harlow is my Mother and my best friend.
