940 Saturdays
There is never enough time for ________. You fill in the blank. If you are like me there are lots of things you could put in that space.
I don’t know if you have ever seen this meme before but it always stops me dead in my tracks. Probably because the older we get the more we realize that time stops for no one and that the hands on the clock spin faster and faster with each passing year. No matter what we don’t have time for…the clock keeps ticking.
This weekend was my daughter and son-in-law’s 12th wedding anniversary. I kept the baby daughter and Mimi (son-in-law’s amazing mom) kept the older two children while the children’s mom and dad had a quick get-away. They had a whole 24 hours to themselves and I got to spend some one on one time with the youngest of my seven grands. Did I enjoy it?
Seriously? Do you even have to ask?
If childhood lasts 940 Saturdays and we (assuming you are past your childhood) what will you do with however many Saturdays you have left here on this earth?
If your answer isn’t spend time with those you love I encourage you to reconsider.
